Six Poetic Immortals - Lovely design from Eishi's series depicting the "Six Poetic Immortals," a group of famous ninth-century Japanese poets. Each design pairs beauties in scenes from everyday life with one of the poets, including a verse by the writer at the top. These images are beautifully detailed with wonderful attention to the fabrics and elegant settings, and feature a muted color palette. Reprints from this series are rarely seen.
