Original Eizan (1787 - 1867) Japanese Woodblock Print
Beauty with an Umbrella Kakemono
Comments - Lovely kakemono or vertical diptych of a beauty carrying an umbrella as she strolls along. With her other hand she lifts the edge of her kimono, revealing a red tie-dyed under robe and tall wooden geta clogs. She looks down with a pensive expression, the edge of her white scarf caught between her teeth. A classic Edo era beauty portrait.
