The Benten Shrine at Shinobazu Pond, circa 1839 - 1842 - Interesting view of the walkway leading to the island in the center of Shinobazu Pond in Ueno. Pedestrians stroll along the embankment lined with pine trees and stone lanterns, crossing over an arched bridge in the center. Teahouses extend out over the water's edge, the pond filled with lily pads. An attractive design with an unusual viewpoint.

Artist - Hiroshige (1797 - 1858)
Image Size - 8 5/8" x 13 1/2" + margins as shown
Condition - This print with good detail as shown. Large tear, a few holes, repaired. Toning, soiling, rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details.
