Arranging Flowers and Feeding Chickens, 1892
Comments - Charming scene of activities taking place at a country house surrounded by a lovely lake and garden. At right, a young girl scatters grain to feed chickens, her mother standing behind her, watching anxiously. At left, a beauty carefully places a blossoming stem into an ornate vase, a pair of scissors and a pitcher of water on the floor next to a tray of flowers. In the center, another woman adjusts a hairpin as she leans against a wooden post. An attractive design, framed by large colorful chrysanthemums at right.
