Maiko at the Silver Pavilion
Comments - Attractive portrait of a maiko or apprentice geisha visiting Ginkakuji or the Silver Pavilion in Kyoto. She pauses along the edge of the pond with an umbrella in hand, looking across the water at the temple, shadows falling across the shore. A handsome design, detailed with accents of dark gold metallic pigment on the obi.
