Original Nisaburo Ito (1910 - 1988) Japanese Woodblock Print
Irises
Nisaburo Ito - Born in Kyoto in 1910, shin-hanga artist Nisaburo Ito created many woodblock prints of flowers, landscapes, and noted shrines and temples around his hometown. Some of his designs reflect his study of nihonga or traditional Japanese painting, while others take on a more modern expression. His floral and nature subjects are beautifully rendered with wonderful attention to detail and color. His attractive prints are a lovely choice to collect or display.
