Comments - Handsome kabuki portrait of the actor Ichikawa Danjuro IV in one of his famous roles as the fierce samurai Kagekiyo. He is shown in stage makeup breaking down the gate of his prison cell, his robe flying about him as he kicks out one foot and throws out his arm. Nice early print design and an interesting format for framing.
Artist - Kiyomitsu (1735 - 1785) Image Size - 12 1/2" x 5 1/2" Condition - Excellent overall with no issues to report.
