Magician Princess and Spider - Attractive kabuki portrait of a princess looking up from the spell she is rolling up, smiling at a large spider holding the other end of the scroll. She wears a light blue kimono patterned with a dragonfly and moths or butterflies over a red under robe, tied with a purple and pink obi. Her long hair falls over her shoulders, a cluster of tiny flowers adorning her head. An interesting supernatural design, from a rarely seen Kunichika series.

Artist - Kunichika (1835 - 1900)
Image Size - 13" x 8 1/2"
Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Horizontal and diagonal folds. Wrinkling throughout, soiling, a few stains. Please see photos for details.
