Original Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864) Japanese Woodblock Print
Ichikawa Danjuro as Genkuro Yoshitsune, 1828

Comments - Handsome kabuki portrait of Ichikawa Danjuro as the nobleman Genkuro Yoshitsune. He looks over his shoulder with an angry frown, his brows furrowed. He wears an intricately patterned tunic over full brown pants with a yellow print, his sword in a tiger skin scabbard hanging at his side. A nice expressive figure.

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 10"
Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Small thinning spot at edge, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and rubbing, creasing at edges. Please see photos for details.
