Courtesan beneath a Blossoming Cherry Tree

Comments - Charming portrait of a courtesan posing beneath a blossoming cherry tree, pausing to look back over her shoulder. She wears a black outer kimono patterned with chrysanthemums, tied with an obi featuring large medallions. Her hair is arranged in two large loops with a large comb and many hairpins, and she wears tall black lacquer geta clogs. An attractive Edo era beauty design.

Artist - Yoshikazu (active circa 1850 - 1870)
Image Size - 14 1/4" x 9 1/2" + margins as shown
Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. A couple small thinning spots, repaired. Slight toning and creasing. Please see photos for details.
