From an untitled series of horizontal kabuki portraits

Kabuki Portraits - Handsome scene from an untitled series by Yoshiiku of kabuki portraits depicting famous characters. These attractive designs are carefully drawn, with expressive faces, decorative borders or backgrounds, and lively color. Many feature deluxe embellishments, such as embossing, burnishing, or a dusting of mica. The horizontal chuban format is unusual for kabuki prints. A great choice for a kabuki enthusiast.

Special detail - Burnishing on the beauty's black kimono collar.

Artist - Yoshiiku (1833 - 1904)
Image Size - 7 3/4" x 9 1/2" + margins as shown
Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. Paper remnant on reverse along vertical centerfold from previous album mounting. Some prints have slight soiling or a few creases or small spots. Please see photos for details.
