Original Eizan (1787 - 1867) Japanese Woodblock Print
Beauty in a Doorway Kakemono

Comments - Attractive kakemono or vertical diptych of a beauty pushing aside the curtains of a doorway as she walks through it. She wears a light gray kimono patterned with white blossoms, edged with a green print and tied with a black obi that reverses to a red print. Her hair is arranged in a large smooth bun adorned with a black lacquer comb, ribbons, and hairpins with intricate floral ornaments and dangling bells. A lovely Edo era design.

Image Size - 28 1/8" x 9 3/4"
Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two separate panels. A few holes, slight thinning at corner, repaired. Slight toning and creasing, a few spots. Please see photos for details.
