Chrysanthemum Garden, 1895 - Beautiful Chikanobu triptych of three beauties in a garden full of blooming chrysanthemums. The elegant women each wear sumptuously patterned kimono in vibrant colors, contrasting beautifully with the soft gray background. At right, a blue and white ceramic planter with a rabbit serving as a foot holds a colorful arrangement. A lovely image with fine detail, including delicate embossing on the white kimono collars and flowers, and burnishing on the hair and the black kimono.
