The Fuji Arts Clearance is Unique in the Market

Thousands of prints sell every year in the Fuji Arts clearance. Savvy shoppers enjoy buying both originals and old reprints at just $29.99. And who wouldn't? It's fun to shop, the cost is low, and before you know it, exciting new prints show up at your doorstep.

If you're new to Fuji Arts clearance, here is the best tip we can give you: Check often, because the best prints move lightning fast!

The Kuchi-e Tradition - Kuchi-e prints are woodblock frontispiece illustrations used in the publication of Japanese novels and magazines around the turn of the 20th century. Most kuchi-e prints were illustrations of bijin and continued the tradition of idealized beauties in Japanese art. The subjects, however, have a decidedly Meiji era feel about them and reflect the artistic movement towards more western design. Kuchi-e prints typically have one or two folds because of their use.

Much interest has been generated in the subject since the publication in 2000 of Helen Merritt and Nanako Yamada's book, "Woodblock Kuchi-e Prints: Reflections of Meiji Culture." Kuchi-e prints have become highly sought after and collected by the serious collector.

Comments - Charming kuchi-e illustration of two young girls picking flowers and herbs in spring. The girl at right kneels down as she plucks a blossom, absorbed in her task, a small wicker basket beside her. A lovely subject with delicate line work and soft shading in the grass.
