The Satsuma Rebellion - Handsome portrait of Saigo Takamori, the leader of the rebels during the Satsuma Rebellion, sitting on a chair covered with a tiger skin. He wears a black military uniform with fringed epaulets and a red sash across the chest, his sword resting against his knee. Two samurai stand behind him, one leaning to the side and gesturing with his hand. Nicely detailed with burnishing on the uniform and boots.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Creasing, slight toning and soiling, diagonal wrinkle. Please see photos for details.
