Wakamurasaki (Lavender), Chapter 5 - Attractive portrait of Tegoshi no Shosho, the mistress of Soga Goro, on a windy evening, pausing to tie her obi. She looks over her shoulder as the packet of tissues she has dropped flutters up into the air, the breeze blowing the loose hair alongside her face. She wears a red kimono patterned with irises and bordered with a brown and tan print over a red under robe, her hair pulled back into a large bun tied with a red ribbon. The inset above shows an open bird cage with a sparrow flying away. A charming subject.
