Original Koho Shoda (1871 - 1946) Japanese Woodblock Print
Festival Decorations Tanzaku Print
Comments - Charming shin-hanga tanzaku or poem slip featuring festival decorations attached to tall poles. One is topped with shide, zigzag paper strips used in Shinto rituals, a wreath, and colorful streamers blowing in the breeze. The other has an arrow tied to it as if on the string and ready to fire. The rooftops of a village rise above the foliage below, with the ocean and a few birds in the distance.
Artist - Koho Shoda (1871 - 1946) Image Size - 13 1/4" x 3 1/8" + margins as shown Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
