The Eighteen Kabuki Plays - Terrific image from Torii Kiyotada's great series "The Eighteen Kabuki Plays" (Kabuki juhachiban) dating to 1916. These fantastic, dramatic designs feature striking costumes, bold compositions, and lively colors. Some images include deluxe printing techniques such as embossing or burnishing. A rarely seen, early shin-hanga actor series, and a fine choice for a collector interested in classic kabuki subjects.
