Climbing a Mountain by Meiji era artist (unsigned)

Original Meiji era Japanese Woodblock Print
Climbing a Mountain

Comments - Intriguing Meiji era image of people climbing what may be a man-made mountain, with a path spiraling around the rugged hill up to a lookout with flags and a weathervane on top. Water cascades over the side at right, and a crowd gathers near a stone marker with writing on it at the base. Interestingly, the people include two foreign women wearing bustled skirts and bonnets, and men in overcoats and hats. A fascinating subject.

Artist - Meiji era artist (unsigned)
Image Size - 13 3/4" x 9 1/4" + margins as shown
Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Paper remnants on reverse at top and bottom from previous mounting. Creasing, slight toning and soiling, a few marks. Please see photos for details.
