The Pride of Willow Alley at Ryogoku - Yoshiiku's charming Meiji era series "The Pride of Willow Alley at Ryogoku" features portraits of geisha from the Ryogoku area. Beauties are shown playing music or dancing, arriving or leaving a teahouse or restaurant, or in relaxing in quieter moments. A text panel in the form of a folding fan appears next to the title cartouche. These handsome designs include nicely detailed settings and attractive color. A rarely seen beauty series by Yoshiiku.
