Original Meiji era Japanese Woodblock Print
Spectacles Bridge in Yamagata, 1881
Comments - Handsome view of the famous Meganebashi or Spectacles Bridge in Yamagata. The bridge was so-named for the appearance of the arches joining with their reflections in the water below, resembling the round lenses of a pair of eyeglasses. Wonderful detail in the stones of the bridge. An interesting design.
